3 Reasons To Deal With Anxiety Panic Attack Symptoms Naturally

By: Di Roberts

After experiencing the horror of anxiety panic attack symptoms, victims are usually desperate to find anything at all that will help them deal with future panic attacks. Fortunately, there are a lot of options to choose from. Unfortunately, making the best choice among them isn't always easy.

There has always been a running debate as to which anxiety panic attack treatment is more effective: medication or natural cures for panic attacks. While quite a few opt to use a little bit of both, there are also those who won't even touch medication, and others who place all their hopes on a few pills.

A lot of sufferers swear by a single method, and turn a blind eye to the other. And though I'm not a radical myself, I stand by my conviction that natural is the way to go. This is not a matter of preference; it's more a question of effectiveness in dealing with anxiety panic attack symptoms. While medications have their merits, there are simply things they can't do that natural cures for panic attacks are able to accomplish.

Among the many reasons for managing anxiety naturally, here are three to think about.

1. Meds can fade out on you.

You know the symptoms, right? Shortness of breath, palpitations, perspiration, dizziness, trembling, detachment from reality, the fear of going crazy and of dying; just a few among others. Countless sufferers see medication as a godsend because it greatly reduces the frequency of panic attacks, limiting our experience with these symptoms. And this comes with a healthy dose of relaxation to boot.

People taking medications are often so relieved by the fact that the intervals between panic attacks are now longer that they lose sight of the fact that they still do happen.Medications are effective in providing temporary relief and some breathing room between attacks, but, all by themselves, they can't do away with the underlying anxiety since they only act on the superficial level. They don't get at the heart of the problem and cut out the fear brought on by the anxiety panic attack symptoms.

2. You can win.

If you're tired of being a sitting duck whenever panic attacks, then you can set yourself up to take charge with natural methods of dealing with it. The medications help cut down on the number of attacks, but what do you do when one occurs? Do you just cringe through the terrible time, praying that you'll get through it somehow?

If you decide to use natural methods for coping with these attacks, you'll be much better at dealing with them. While the meds can reduce the number of attacks, natural coping techniques can reduce the horror of going through them by giving you the weapons you need to combat them. Over time, the attacks will lose their edge and, eventually, won't even rear their heads.

3. Their effects stay with you.

The effects of medication last only as long as you continue to take it. When your stock runs out, you're no better off than before. But natural cures for panic attacks put you well on your way to eliminating these attacks entirely, and grant you the experience to fend them off for life.

As I said before, I'm not about to say you should only even consider one type of anxiety attack panic treatment and totally reject the other. Medications do have their uses and if you are taking them, you should never just quit all at once without consulting your physician. But I do like to work on making the future brighter rather than just getting by the present moment. Since the natural approach to curing panic attacks offers the possibility of a life free from the fear of anxiety panic attack symptoms, then I am definitely going for that.
