Plantation is there with no soil at all! Grow vegetables, flowers, or even herbs at a small area in your house. You do not require any soil containing fungus or insects, which might harm the seedlings. Moreover, there is no root rot. The nutrient-enriched water plays a major part in this case. Only you require the soil less medium or the substrate including sand, gravel, vermiculite, perlite, rockwool, klinker ash, peat, cocus, bark, wood shavings and sawdust. Other than the Klinker Ash, a mixture of the organic and inorganic substrates, the first five are the inorganic substrates and the last five the organic ones. Though it has been used for the commercial purposes, the householders can easily meet their desires of growing plants in places where they are short of cultivable soils or places deprived of any soil at all. You can have a controlled way of farming by the hydroponics and you could be very much certain about the ultimate yields. Unlike the traditional cultivation costs in terms of the labor payment, you can simply raise the plants with a meager number of laborers; you do not even require costly fertilizer. At the same time, you can predict uniform results. There are different kinds of hydroponics depending on the two broad categories: media-based hydroponics, consisting of Flood and drain hydroponics, Drip system hydroponics and Wick feeding hydroponics and water culture hydroponics including Raft Cultivation technique and Nutrient film cultivation. There are still other ways of hydroponics, which obviously do come under the water culture hydroponics. Hydroponics is a time consuming process; the time factor depends on the type of plants you want to plow and on the nutrient to be mixed with the cultivable water. Moreover, if your plantation unit big enough, then you might have to look after time to time, to make sure whether there will be no pests and diseases that might attack your plants. There is no replacement to the sunlight, though you can arrange the high-powered bulbs to fulfill the light requirement; keep an eye on the temperature factor too, that the light intensity should not enhance the hotness inside. A required temperature is 60oF to 80oF. At the same time, you must ensure the sufficient supply water supply, since water is the main medium here. And the level of nutrient solution must not be reduced; otherwise the plant will grow slowly. As such, the previous mentioned disciplines, if maintained properly, the plants will grow faster with larger yields.
