They can serve dual purpose of fishing and pleasure. Most large fishing boats have one cabin. A third kind of boat that you may consider buying is a boat used for water sports. If your passion is waterskiing or wake boarding you'll want to have a boat that can give you the speed that you need. After deciding the kind of boat you want contemplate the size. Size matters in a lot of things. A bigger boat would have more room, and functionality with cabins, kitchen room, a head, and deck room. But it will also require more experience and higher budget. Those on shoe string budget and buying their first boat should carefully think and buy a boat which not suits their budget but is also easy to handle. You don't always have to buy new. There are many second hand boats available that give you the features that you need while at the same time costing you much less than if you had bought a brand new boat. You can buy a used boat from a dealer that specializes in used boats or you can contact the original buyer and make your purchase through them. Sometimes the only advantage to buying a new boat is that you'll have all those warranties and guarantees to back you up for the next year or so. When you've decided the type of boat you are the most interested in, don't overlook the lesser known manufacturers. Do some research and you may learn that the most well known brand names aren't necessarily the best. No matter what type or size of boat that you decide to purchase, once you've decided to buy one you're on your way to fun and adventure.
