Career-one's progress through life

One's career is one's progress through different work or
formal studies. In general sense it can be defined as series
of situations which play an important role in one's working
life.

At present career is referred to the sequence of jobs or
positions by which one earned money but in the 21st century
the idea of career is shifting from inheriting a single lifelong
position in the workforce, with small scale achievements to
succinct set of pursuits, charging potentiality and target to
have a more comfortable and secure future. In broad sense
career refers to one's work and sequential activities of life over
their life span.

In this modern and high tech society career became possible
only because of the spread of the idea of progress and of the
habits acquired by the individuals of self betterment. Regarding
the development of achieving bright and secure career of
oneself, one should get assessment from the career
counsellor. Under thier tutelage people develop their
personality, skills etc and also learn to explore career options.
Similarly career assessments are also very important for
building up the career. These are tests administered by career
development centers, career counsellors, executive coaches
who push the interest of the individuals in a more productive
direction.

By the end of the 20th century a number of choices regarding
potential professions and widespread educations had made a
concrete road for the ambitious people to design a career
which in turn have provided the career counsellor and advisor
with lots resposibilities. In the world of insecure and uncertain
job market, the career management has become a necessary
part not for those people born with a silver spoon in their mouth.
It is nothing more than a small investment of money, energy
and time to protect the major sources of income from
fluctuations. With career assessments, career counsellor and
proper career management one can achieve his/her desire.
