The two things you have to take into consideration when choosing a work at home idea are: honesty and financial safety. Your job should be real - there are too many scammers around only waiting to cheat you out of your money or work. What is even more important, your work should give you enough money to secure your family's budget. Otherwise, what's the point of opening your own home business in the first place?

Too good? - If an offer sounds like a dream come true, be wary. Such offers are usually scams or half-scams. They are often created by less-than-honest entrepreneurs who have decided to run ad campaigns for lower costs. They claim that you get, for example, $1 for each stuffed envelope. That's a great offer, surely beating all but the best-paid jobs. What they fail to say if that you receive money only if the person who receives the offer responds. As 99% people treat such mail as a paper version of SPAM, they throw it away without reading. Effect? You may stuff hundred envelopes for a single dollar. Sound like a good business? Guess not.

Openness - Any legitimate business which wants to outsource envelope stuffing will tell you exactly who they are and what they do. While they may keep some details secret, they tell you exactly how much you may earn (exactly), and what it takes to actually do it right. If they fail to do so, and that's the case with 99% of envelope stuffing opportunities, it means that their offer is trash. Especially if you are asked to buy their starting kit in order to learn more, turn back and walk away. You are only a few steps from losing a few hundred dollars for nothing.

Warranty - While all businesses are risky, legitimate companies always issue some warranties or assign some minimal payment you receive regardless of the conversion rate. That's how real legitimate business is done. The point is that there are virtually no envelope stuffing companies which offer minimal payments or any other guarantee.

To make a long story short: envelope stuffing is a great way for making money... for those who hire you. You will be sending your money to them, work for them and receive nothing in return. Step away from such ads and look for something better.
