How To Be A Million Dollar Speaker

I was given an opportunity to evaluate 3 speakers last night based on my opinion. There I was in an audience of about 100 people of a Real Estate Investment Network. The first speaker talked about his services. I was elated to hear the presentation.

Secret #1: He shared something that affects me. He solved a problem. The product is a software to prevent Identity Theft. I was a victim of it and I know how valuable this service is considering the advancement in our technology. The second speaker discussed about the 4 principles of selling. I love it!

Secret #2: He connected with his audience. He did not allow the podium to possess him. He walked all around the group and talk to them. Furthermore, he gave away a $200,000 dollar check. It was void but he had an Invitation for the winner to attend his seminar for FREE. Very powerful!

This is Secret #3: Give away a prize during the presentation. To top it all, my favorite is the way he asked audience to opt in with his database. How he gracefully and with finesse he asked the audience to email him so he can coach them on their 30 second elevator speech

This is Secret #4: Increase database. The last speaker was an Olympic Athlete. This is Secret #5: Gain credibility immediately by being the champion that you are!

On the other hand of the coin, what are the speakers pitfalls? The first and second speakers didnt have just the important meat of the presentation. This resulted in a time constraint when its almost the last part thats needs more emphasis to ASK for the sale. The second speaker talks too fast for me. He is from Ireland and his accent sometimes lose me when he said something. Although, I can sympatize from him, English just being my second language, this is a little bit of a challenge for immigrant speakers. Solution: Always have the presentation recorded. This is another tip for a powerful presentation. Recordings are great tools for a product or to be given away as a bonus to the audience to give more value to the participants.

Last but not the least, Secret #5: powerful speaking presentation to earn a million dollar entails being true to our hearts. Be a transformer not a performer onstage.
