Starting a new Online Business? Well, you first need to choose and register a domain name. You can choose whatever domain name you want. However, you might want to do a little research first.

1)THE NAME SAYS IT ALL!
This holds true when it comes to the internet. A mistake that many new businesses make is choosing the wrong domain name. Say that your company name is "ABC Company" and you are in the business of vitamin supplements and weight-loss products. You notice that ABCCompany.com is available...STOP! If you choose this as your domain name, it is very likely that NOBODY will find you. Unless, of course, your company is very well known all over the world, or you have very deep pockets for marketing and advertising. I'm not saying that you shouldn't buy ABCCompany.com, but if you want your website to have a stronger internet presence in the future, you should do more than choosing your currently unbranded company name as your domain name.

2)Be Descriptive
As much as possible, you want to choose a name that is descriptive of your business or industry. Using the example above, we know that you are in the VITAMIN and WEIGHT LOSS business. Therefore, you want to choose something with those key words in it such as, vitamins.com or weightloss.com (both of which are unfortunately taken…but you get the point). Realizing that these possible names are registered by other companies, what do you do now? 3)Where to Register Your Domain Name
Now that you have decided on the right domain name for your new website, you are ready to register it with the right company.
