Is A Double Opt-In Email List The Best Way to Go?

There are very good reasons why you'll want a double opt-in list. For those of you who are not familiar with the term here is a brief explanation. It's when a potential customer gives you their e-mail and name in exchange for your offer, A free newsletter, e-book, more info about an opportunity or anything else that could be of interest To a potential customer. You will follow by sending them a confirmation E-Mail. Once they confirm You know it was indeed that individual who requested your offer.

There are some key reasons you'll seriously want only these kinds of leads. You see, then you'll actually know that this person is interested in you, your company or offer. If a person only opt-in once (single opt-in) Than they could potentially be giving you someone else's information. Putting you on a path to potentially getting spam reports. Your domain name with goddady for example could be canceld if Goddady receives enough complaints.

Beside the hassle of receiving spam complaints, you whole purpose is to build a responsive list Not just a bunch of name. If you are in the homebased business field you want pontential internet marketers, not bycicle lovers.

Most online business would be dead in the water without an autoresponder. Having a high quality autoresponder is a must if you are serious about building a double opt-in list. One with double opt-in option so all submission will receive a comfirmation e-mail with a correspondent link.
