Studying for the Bar Examination When you have successfully finished law school, there is one more step to take before you can begin to apply for a job. You need to pass a bar exam.

Different countries have different bar exam systems. In the United States, for instance, a two-day written exam is held twice a year. Most countries arrange their exams on specific days of the year. If you miss an exam, you will have to wait for the next one, which could take place several months later.

You will be able to make use of your skills when you join a law firm. Much of your real knowledge will also be gained while on the job.
